The Titanic Show was a live performance by the musical trio Pluck in a comical, fun-loving and, above all, musical tribute to the brave musicians of the Titanic, who reputedly remained on board playing until the ship sank.
The Show
When I arrived at the Civic Theatre to see this show the last thing I was expecting was comical entertainment. I was expecting a night of respectful, if sombre, dedication, however I was delighted with the life that Pluck injected into their show. They combined the classical music, played brilliantly, with their own quirky performance, along with a few historical moments.
Pluck have created their own story revolving around three characters, though the Titanic band was in fact made up of eight members. The only one who has been mentioned consistently throughout my research is Wallace Hartley, played by Adrian Garratt, the creator of Pluck. The other two, Theodore Ronald Brailey and Roger Bricoux, played by Jon Regan and Sian Kadifachi, were also members of the ill-fated band.
